72nd Independence Day Observed at USTM

9th Mile, Ri Bhoi, August 15, 2018: The 72nd Independence Day has been observed at USTM in a solemn function today. The National Flag was hoisted at 9 am in the University campus by Shri Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor, USTM along with Dr PK Goswami, Vice Chancellor of the University. The flag hoist was followed by the National Anthem and speeches on Independence delivered by the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Deans as well as students.

Addressing the gathering, USTM Chancellor M Hoque said, “We should never forget the great sacrifices made by the Freedom Fighters to bring Independence for India. Educational institutions are to inculcate a sense of patriotism amidst the students as they are the future of the country”. The function was participated by a considerable number of students, teachers and staff members.
